The Merino Food Group was founded in 2013, with the aid of Heywood District Health Service and our own Merino Community Health Center, upon whose grounds our garden is placed. Comprised of the Community Garden and Community Kitchen, our aim is to grow, share and eat fresh, sometimes unusual, foodstuffs while enjoying and promoting the health and wellness benefits of gardening and cooking. We're a not-for-profit organisation composed of volunteers with a keen interest in gardening, horticulture, food security and socialising.
We just really like growing stuff, especially food.
